The Elderly and Pets

Having certain things in life can either bring benefits or burdens. There are things that can be gained when taking a specific action. We are going to talk about one thing that can greatly help the older population if they choose to have it be something that is part of their lives.

Pet ownership is highly recommended for the elderly. There are many studies that link positive health outcomes when there is an animal relationship present. It can be quite lonely for those over the age of fifty five or sixty. The relationships that were once had can be lost and other changes can happen. They can provide a warm and loving relationship and help with the loneliness that might be experienced. Having one can help lower blood pressure and actually decrease  the number of doctor visits. There is the increase in physical activity, which makes us at Osteo Relief Institute very excited.
