3 Habits of People Who Make Room for Wonder

With work, family commitments and other responsibilities, it can be easy to get caught up in your day to day routine and not realize the wonderful things around you. Paying the bills and keeping up with projects at work can be very stressful, so it’s understandable why you might not be making room for wonder in your life.
But, people who make room for wonder in their life feel amazement and admiration in their everyday lives. There are a few simple habits of people who make room for wonder, which you can incorporate into your life.

1. Focusing on the Present
As the popular quote says: “If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present.” But, many people spend a lot of time worrying about the future.
Focusing on the future, to some extent, is natural. However, if you become too focused on the future, you can’t enjoy the present. People that make room for wonder make sure that they live in the present. Valuing the moment can make you happier and calmer.
2. Getting Outside
Nature can amaze and astound you, but only if you take the time to really appreciate it. Getting outside and away from technology and your day-to-day responsibilities can make you much happier.
So, go outside and enjoy yourself. Instead of sitting inside for lunch on a crisp autumn day, go outside. It will awaken your senses and make you feel happy.
3. Being Spontaneous
People that experience wonder on a daily basis are open to new ideas and experiences. They are not closed off. They are willing to do things that are spontaneous. They find the time to do things that they want to do, rather than spending their downtime on chores and errands.

By developing a few new habits, you can experience more wonder.
